Melody is a media artist whose work addresses issues of ecology and experimental narrative through computational technologies. Her recent works focus on Machine Learning, Critical Ecology, and Language. She investigates alternative use of technologies, especially AI and electronics, for ecological purposes.  She is particularly interested in exploring threatened ecologies in the context of social issues, indigenous knowledges, and the ways language reproduces ideological assumptions. Melody’s working process often uses writing, field research, and data or information collection to create poetic narratives.

Melody holds a BA in Arts at School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong. She is currently a research assistant, working on machine learning for moving images at School of Creative Media. 

嗨！我是Melody，是一名新媒体艺术家。毕业于香港城市大学创意媒体学院。主修创意媒体，辅修计算机科学。现在在创意媒体学院做研究助理，研究机器学习作为一种艺术媒介分析、运用于影像。

我的创作兴趣方向是批判生态学，语言学以及实验性叙事。我通常使用虚拟与实体媒介的交互进行诗意创作，作品通过社会观察、本土文化以及田野调查进行研究。同时我对绘画很感兴趣。目前在进行人工智能与创意诗意叙事方向的创作。
